2D Drafting
printing via a saved pdf file

Hi,
I am not a CAD user , or in any way an expert user.
I make car seat covers for a vintage car - the Peugeot 205 GTi.
I have had the seat cover elements digitised using a digital table to create sets of patterns for a specific seat component (cushion, squab, front, rear etc.) in one dxf file. I say dxf , but it might be a dwg file - I can't tell the difference. I use Draftsight to look at these files and this has been great, but now I need to be able to learn how to do 2 things, 1. modify the individual items that have changed due to the vagaries of production, and 2. to print these patterns out in known groups (as indicated previously).
I'm not asking for a blow by blow account of how to do this, but more a gentle push to tell me what areas I need to brush up on to achieve this goal.
Thanks for your time
