How long does it take to receive the USB drive with the videos and tutorials when ordered shipping in the USA and can you provide a tracking number?

I have used Autocad for many years in the civil, structural and mining industries. I am now asked for a certificate of competency when I apply for new work/contracts. I keep my skill up to date by going through CADsite but can I apply for a competency certificate?

Hello I enjoy this site a lot and learning about XRefs.
I am beginner in AutoCAD so i am not 100% sure if my cad setting dimensions and scale is correct, however it tells me that from downloaded files in lesson 4-7 - Xref files is a bed and it says the bed is wide 60cm. (??)
I tried to use different scales: 1:1, 1:20, 1:50,1:100 and it says the same. I use metric system.

Please what is

Hi,

This website is fantastic, really helpful. The only query I have is with one of the quiz questions in level one.
The question is: How long is a line from 1,4 to 4,4?
The options are:

Can't easily tell from those coordinates,
4 units,
3 units.
I would have said 3 units but the answer is apparently 4 units? I've tried plotting those two coordinates and keep getting 3. Is thi

Hello.

I am starting my CAD studies here at "My Cad Site" and I would like to ask for some suggestions about a good laptop to run the free student version that I can download from the Autodesk website.

Thanks a lot.

This is just to update from previous entries on this topic. I have a floating Command Line and no mouse pointer within the drawing area. This means I cannot click anywhere within the drawing area as the Command Line will not go and there is no mouse until F9 is switched off. If I move outside the original drawing area, the mouse re-appears and everything is back to normal. I have tried switching

Hello all. This is getting extremly frustrating and I do hope someone can tell me how to switch off this.

Sometimes but not always, when I come to give any command from 'L' onwards I get this floating window saying 'Specify first point' and no pointer. All I maybe try to do is to join a line up or anything in fact. Any drawing command brings this floating window up. How do I get rid of it or

Hello Sirs,

I have been using ACAD since 1988 and at my present job
we are using version 2000 which I have been with for 19yrs.
My company has not kept up with the newer versions so I'm way behind the curve on this and need to get training
on the new versions. We do only 2D at my job so my experience is in wire frame only and no solids drafting. My wire frame experience has been 19y

When I have set a 'New' dimension saved and made current. I try to add dimensions either by clicking on 'Dimension' or typing in DIM and I am getting various instructions across where I want to put the 'click'. for example 'Set extension line origin to continue'. It means I cannot just click on a line. What am I doing wrong please?

Question: I have created a "base" drawing and inserted quite a lot of blocks into that drawing. Now, when I do a "save as" from the base drawing how to do I keep it from pulling all the blocks with it? In other words, I want to insert the blocks I need, save as and not have the ones I don't need.

Also, I am sure this has to do with the above question somehow but, when I pull in my blocked TBl

Hi,
I am not a CAD user , or in any way an expert user.
I make car seat covers for a vintage car - the Peugeot 205 GTi.
I have had the seat cover elements digitised using a digital table to create sets of patterns for a specific seat component (cushion, squab, front, rear etc.) in one dxf file. I say dxf , but it might be a dwg file - I can't tell the difference. I use Draftsight to look

Hello everyone

I have a doubt while using autocad 2016 version. While I enter specific points for line command they do not form a straight line.

I tried to make a perfect square like I saw here on the site on a video but wasn't able to make it.

I'd love to get your help.

Thank you!
